I promise there’s a recipe at the end of this post, but…
Six months from today I will marry my very best friend!
A few weeks ago, we met with Kaylan and Corey of Happy Everything Co. to take our engagement pictures, and the day ended with a picnic at The Goat Farm.
We spread out the quilt my grandmother made me, popped some champagne, and celebrated the end of a really fun session and the start of fun new memories to come.
The menu included:
- ham, brie and arugula sandwiches with balsamic onion jam (recipe link below!)
- Greek quinoa salad
- fresh honeyed berries
- strawberry + blackberry mini pies
We had the best time! Kaylan and Corey are so sweet and we can’t wait to see them again! If you want to see more pictures, hear about Jeff’s proposal or send us a song to play at our wedding, visit our wedding website: CodyandJeff.com.
And now, please see below for the recipe to our balsamic onion jam – it was SO delicious with the ham and brie. We jarred and processed ours to save and give to friends, but you can always just make yours and use it right up! Also, I am calling ours “Balsamic Onion Jam” and not “Herb Infused Caramelized” because while the herbs and caramelization definitely added to it, the strongest (and best, IMO) flavor was the white balsamic vinegar!

Let me know if you try it out!
