I am a graduate of University of Georgia [specifically, Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication]. I live and work in Atlanta, GA, and am so blessed to have a job that I absolutely love, great friends and an amazing family. This blog started as part of an assignment for a journalism class, but surprised me by challenging me to step outside my comfort zone to network with other bloggers, try new foods and recipes and publish my writing for the world to see.
I have a love for food that started when I was very young. I thank my parents for their dedication to good, homemade meals because I know that’s where mine came from! I was raised to try all foods once and to appreciate a little kitchen experimentation. I am passionate about trying new restaurants, particularly local restaurants and especially local restaurants that aspire to use local and sustainable food products.
Sometimes I cook alone, but usually my husband Jeff is in the kitchen with me, helping chop, stir, braise and grill like a pro. Sharing food, and its preparation, is so intimate and an amazing way to show people how much you care. There’s an undeniable bond that forms over food and fellowship.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog and please, comment away!
